Nanowrimo is a world-wide writing challenge held every year in November. (National Novel Writing Month, in case you aren’t familiar.)
To celebrate, our chapter hosts lunchtime write-ins throughout the year, and practically every day in November. Whee! (Thanksgiving may not be a popular day, but the Zoom link is there if you want to escape a turkey coma.)
About the write-ins:
April 5 – June 7:
– Every weekday 12:00 pm-1:00 pm EST
– Mondays 5:00-6:16 pm EST
These sessions include a 10-minute or so chat in the beginning, followed by cameras and mics-off writing time for 45 minutes, and then a quick check-in at the end for goodbyes.
These are super casual meetings where you can make yourself be productive and write while knowing others are also working at the same time. It’s also a great way to get to know other chapter members and their work.
You can drop in and drop out any days you’d like. And you do not have to be working on a novel or participating in any kind of Nanowrimo challenge ! Write or edit whatever you want during this time. Or, honestly, if you want to, take a nap. You deserve it.
We also have a Facebook page dedicated to NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) – “like” the page and post there whenever you want to shout out your successes, or scream over frustrations. The page is there for members to support each other through this fun time, which has been known to also be frustrating at moments. Let’s help each other get to the finish line by giving virtual high-fives along the way.

Have Fun!!
